This and That Tag

 

I am really sorry for not blogging recently! I was planning on doing this post last weekend but I was ill so I couldn't.

I have been tagged by the lovely Emily from the amazing blog Beauty Above and Beyond to do the 'This and That' tag:

Make up:

 

1. Blush or Bronzer – In my opinion, I think blush looks better than bronzer so blush

2. Lip gloss or lip stick – Lipstick, I find it so much easier to apply, I barely ever wear lipgloss

3. Eyeliner or mascara – Mascara. I can’t apply eyeliner to save my life but I do think it looks nice on other people

4. Foundation or concealer – It’s so much nicer than foundation and you don’t have to apply it to the whole of your face to make it even, just put it on your bad bits

5. Natural or Coloured eyeshadow – Natural, I don’t really like coloured

6. Pressed or loose eyeshadow – Pressed, loose is so much messier

7. Brush or Sponge – Brush, I really hate using a sponge

 

 

Nails:

 

1. Opi or China Glaze – Opi

2. Long or Short – I prefer my nails long but they break really easily

3. Acrylic or natural – Acrylic as I really hate my nails and I think acrylics look so nice

4. Bright or dark – Bright, most of my nail polishes are bright colours

5. Flower or no Flower – I love nail art but I prefer just plain simple nails

 

Body:

 

1. Perfume or body splash – Perfume

2. Lotion or Body Butter – Butter (Palmers is the best!)

3. Body wash or soap- Body wash

4. Lush or Other – Lush is the best thing ever! I love it so much

 

Fashion:

 

1. Jeans or Sweat Pants - Jeans, I don’t own any sweatpants, I’m not really that keen on them

2. Long sleeves or short sleeve – I do prefer short sleeved but obviously long in the winter

3. Dress or Skirt – Definitely skirt, they go with more things

4. Scarves or Hats – Scarves, I really hate hats!

5. Studs or dangling earrings – Studs, I don’t really own any dangling earrings

7. Heels or flats – Flats, I always feel really tall above my friends!

8. Cowboy boots or riding boots – Cowboy boots, I don’t really like knee-high boots

9. Jackets or hoodies – Jackets you can wear with more things whereas hoodies tend to cover half your outfit

10. Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe – I love it, their clothes are so pretty and the jewellery is amazing!

 

Hair:

1. Curly or Straight- Straight

2. Bun or Ponytail – Ponytail, my messy buns always look too messy!

3. Bobby pin or butterfly clips – Bobby pins, they’re easier to hide and are more handy

4. Hairspray or gel – Hairspray, I’ve never used gel

5. Long or short- Long, I’ve never had my air short but I would love to see what it looks like!

6. Dark or light – Light

7. Side swept bangs or fully bangs – I think side swept bangs as they’re easier to do different hairstyles with

8. Up or down – I don’t really like my hair either way but I think down

 

Random:

1. Rain or shine – Shine, I really hate rain

2. Summer or winter – winter, I always get too overheated in the summer and winter is near Christmas!

3. Fall or spring – I really love both but I think fall as it is so much cosier and I love wearing jumpers!

4. Chocolate or Vanilla – chocolate, I’ve really gone off vanilla recently, not sure why

Disney and Denim

So today I decided to wear my denim skirt again and wondered what to wear with it. I saw this top in my drawer and thought it actually looked ok with the skirt! I really like the top and it was my Dad's old one from Chicago. I like it as its oversized and I haven't really worn it before.

The Liebster Award

So I have been nominated for the Liebster Award which is an award given to new and upcoming bloggers. I got nominated by the lovely Gracie from Gracie's World with an amazing blog, check it out! I had never heard of this before but the rules are pretty simple. All you need to do is answer the questions that have been set for you, nominate 11 other new and up coming bloggers for the award (with under 200 followers) and make 11 questions of your own for them to answer...

 

HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS I GOT SET:

1. What's your favourite make up brand?

It would have to be Maybelline or Rimmel. I buy all my mascaras from Maybelline and I am IN LOVE with their baby lips! I also love Rimmel’s wake me up foundation and concealer and quite a few of their things are on my wishlist.

2. What's the best item of clothing you've ever bought?

I think it would probably be a jumper I got in Primark last Christmas. It is so warm  and cosy and I’ve worn it to death!

3. Any hidden talents?

I wouldn’t really say it’s a talent but me and my friends do dance for 2 and a half hours a week. I enjoy it even though I’m not great at it!

4. Why did you start blogging?

I’ve been reading other people’s blogs for a year or two now and they just all inspired me. I’m also so thankful of Twitter as it’s given me so many ideas for new posts. Also a lot of people have given me advice on how to improve my blog so I am grateful of them too.

5. What's your favourite season and why?

I would say Autumn because I think the summer is too hot and I definitely prefer the colder weather (obviously not FREEZING) but I prefer the cold to the hot. I also prefer jeans and jumpers to dresses.

6. What's your favourite part of blogging?

Meeting new people and looking at their blogs. They all just inspire me so much!

7. Your top 3 autumn must haves?

Something tartan, oversized jumpers and fluffy socks. It just makes me feel cosy and ready for Christmas!

8. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

I would love to see my blog to be really successful but in all honesty, I don’t know if I will be able to keep it up for 5 years. In the real world,  I hope I have a good job and that I can drive :)

9. Would you say you're fashionable?

I wouldn’t say I’m fashionable but I do follow (some) fashion. I also do just wear unfashionable clothes if I want.

10. What's the one item you can't live without?

I’m going to say my camera because I love photography and I take it everywhere pretty much.

11. Do you prefer bright or dark nail polishes?

It depends, I prefer bright in Spring/Summer and dark in Autumn/Winter. I do wear
bright more though so I’m going to say bright.

Thank You!

Right, so there hasn't been a post in a while as I've been ill. Hopefully there will be one tomorrow or soon after..

I just want to say thank you as I have seen that I have over 500 pageviews! Which I am so proud of, considering I only made my blog a month or two ago? and I am so happy with that! Haul 004

Last night, I couldn't help joining in on the '#fbloggers' chat on twitter and got some really good advice from people! This was the first one I've joined in on but I enjoyed it so much! 

Today I have done an outfit post actually in my room! I don't usually do this but I thought I would today. Ignore the items at the sides of the pictures but my room is currently being prepared to be decorated. Right, so today I went into town with my sister and the first thing I purchased was the Maybelline Baby Lips Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Punch. I have seen these so many times but I think were only out in America? I saw on someones instagram (from the UK) that she had one so I had a look in Boots today and got myself one! They're actually really good and I did an awkward selfie... (just spelt awkward 'alkward'... oh)

The next thing i got was the 'plum' crop top which is really hard to show the actual colour of it, so in the picture, the contrast is really high:

I do really like it and I think it would go with a lot. Whether I will actually wear it though is another matter but at that price, you can't go wrong! Also, my sister said she would kill me if I don't buy it, so I thought that I should really...

 

 

The final thing I bought was a lovely denim skirt. I have been after the perfect one for ages and saw this today, tried it on and I really love it! I don't even care if its going out of fashion, I will still wear it and can see it being permanently glued to my hips.

This is Us and Socks

Last friday, me and my friend went into town to see the new One Direction movie: This is Us. I am not a massive fan of them really but I used to be obsessed. She is now so she asked if I wanted to go so I thought that I might aswell. Its actually quite good and I enjoyed it.  We also went for a McDonalds afterwards and I got some socks from New Look and they are amazing! Just look at them!!.....

My New Twitter

The other day I posted about my new tumblr URL but this time, I have made a new twitter as I was linking my personal one. So if anyone wants to follow me (probably not) its @imiblog and it needs all the support it can get and currently has one follower as I literally just made it!
