A Day at the Races

I've been meaning to write this for ages but last Saturday, me and my mum went to Salisbury Races with 2 of our close family friends. Out of the 6 races, we put a bet on 4 horses but didn't win a race. We did come second though and got £2.60! Yay. I decided to share this with you as this was my first time watching horse racing!

Vintage Shop in Wisborough Green

                              

Today, me, my mum and my sister went to Wisborough Green to visit one of my mum's school friends. She has such a lovely house full of vintagey things and I love it so much! She took us to a little vintage charity shop - pictured above, can't remember the name - and then to this little cafe where we all had ice cream. We then went to her allotment which was MASSIVE and really pretty. It's such a lovely town with loads of huge pretty houses! I would definitely recommend a visit :)

Waste of Time

Today I went to a dance competition in Portsmouth (on the South Coast of England) and to be honest, I wish I never went. Lets just say that I didn't do great and just wasted my Sunday.

On another note, not particularly a good note, I decided to download the Blogger app and it has made me so lazy! I can't really be bothered to load up my laptop so I have been posting on the app... I really need to get back into my routine!

Late Night Blogging

Right now, I'm sat in my bed writing a post on my IPod. I am not going to say too much about my day as it will feature in a post tomorrow. I am too lazy to go on my laptop and type this and as I have been posting everyday, I needed one for today so here it is. I have a headache, I'm tired and I have a dance comp tomorrow that I really can't be bothered for so I'm gonna go :)

I haven't been to Marwell Zoo since I was 8?? and my sister had a free ticket so that's what we decided to do today! It was so much fun and I loved seeing all the animals and taking pictures! I think my favourites were the giraffes, zebras and leopards!

Haul 002

Today I went to Tesco (lol) with my mum and sister and I discoverd an isle containing American sweets!!

These are a bit weird, they are actually in the shape of the fruit and they are all really sour!

 

I've wanted to try Junior Mints for aaaages and they are DELICIOUS! I am definitely having these more often!

 

 

This is not American (I don't think) but I saw this and thought "I've never had a whole one to myself before" so I bought one... IT'S ADDICTIVE!

 



 

I tried these like a month ago (as my friends bought them back from America) and I think they were strawberry. These are cherry and they taste soooo much more different, the other ones were much much better!

 

So I've been wanting this concealer from Rimmel for aaages and I've finally joined the hype! So many people have this and I can't wait to try it out! shade: classic beige 030

Meal and Fair

Today I went to the real china (...again) for one of my closest friends birthday. It was so nice and just as good as my previous time! After that, we went to the local fair (where I was wearing the above with sandals so really fitted in with the atmosphere...) and had a good laugh! Can't wait to ge back to the real china ;)

Old TV Show

 

Today, me and my sister decided to watch grizzly tales for gruesome kids which is an old TV show that was on CITV when I was younger. We both loved this show and I was pretty sure I watched every single episode - I'm not even lying! Seriously though, if you have never seen it, watch this one first as this was one of my favourites... I'm weird, okay?!

Candy Crush

I have been OBSESSED with this game recently! I can't put it down ahhh! I'm only on level 33 but I love it; this level, I have 14 moves to complete it in! I can't do it :(

Despicable Me Cookies

 

 

Yesterday, my sister (atasteofheaven/summer) made these AMAZING Despicable Me minion cookies and I just had to share the recipe!

 

 

Ingredients (for 15):

50g (2oz) icing sugar

75g soft margarine

yolk from a large egg

150g plain flour

 

Method:

(Heat oven to 180ºC, 350ºF, gas mark 4, before you start)

1.Sift the icing sugar through a sieve into a large bowl. Add the margarine and mix well until they're smooth.

2. Add the large egg yolk and stir in well.

3. Sift in the flour to remove any lumps.

4. Mix in the flour into a smooth dough.

5. Roll out the dough until it is around half a cm, cut out into required shapes (in this case circle).

6. For the minion cookies, cut off both sides of the circle to form a sort-of oval.

7. Bake the biscuits for 10-12 minutes.

8. Once they're cool, mix icing sugar and water together to form icing.

9. Copy our design to make your own minion cookies!

Lazy Day in Floral

Today I was feeling quite summery so I went for this look. I have never worn this skirt before (as its my sisters) but I really like it. I am not up to much today, just sitting and enjoying the sun - hopefully it stays for a while longer!

Haul 002

 

So today, I thought I'd do another haul post - this time from Avon.

 

The first thing I got was this lip balm in a new range by Colour Trend. It smells soo strongly of lemons and makes my lips feel really smooth and moisturised but it does leave bits on my lips (not sure why)

 



 The next thing I got was this lipstick from Colour Trend in the shade shimmer. I think that it looks like such a pretty colour but on the lips, it looks completely different...

 

I also swatched it but it is so light, it doesn't show up too well

 

The final product is a beautiful nail varnish in the colour Celestial Blue. I thought this looked AMAZING in the bottle and on the models nails looked so good too, however, on my nails, it looked slightly different...

This looks alright but it is such a thick layer!

No exaggeration here, this is 3 coats

 

So overall, I'm not very pleased with these products. I can work with the lip balm and the lipstick but the nail varnish is such a disappointment. I think I will just wear it as a top coat as it is too thin.

 

SIDE NOTE: it is now the summer holidays for me (6 weeks) so I will be able to do better posts and spend more time on them. I am pretty proud as to have kept this up this long and a post each day! I wonder how long that will last... I also have over 100 (I think) page views and I got that in just a week so thank you so much for that!

Stressed
